Restaurant Interior Designer in Mumbai

You have a concept. Maybe it's fully formed, maybe it's still a feeling - a kind of light, a mood, something you experienced somewhere and haven't quite found the words for yet. That's usually where we start.

SKID is Shweta Kaushik's studio. Eighteen years, exclusively restaurants, bars, and cafés. The work isn't about a signature look - it's about understanding what your venue needs to be and building exactly that. Every project has its own logic. The job is to find it.

Some of the work

Trèsind Mumbai - A fine-dining restaurant where the food is avant-garde and the space needed to hold that without competing with it. Calm, precise, considered.

Bayroute - A Levantine restaurant designed across six Mumbai locations. Each one different enough to feel local, consistent enough to feel like the same place.

Woodside Inn, Bandra - A neighbourhood bar that's been full for fifteen years. The design is why people stay, not just why they come.

Hitchki - A high-energy casual dining format across multiple Mumbai locations and Dubai. The brief was to make every outlet feel alive without feeling chaotic.

Bhawan - A contemporary Indian restaurant where the design had to carry cultural weight without leaning on the obvious references. That's the harder brief.

Sixteen33, Bandra - A bar where the room needed to do a lot - intimate enough for a quiet drink, loud enough for a late night. Getting that balance right is mostly about the way you break up a space.

Public Beer Hall - A large-format beer hall that needed to feel genuinely communal, not just big.

How it works

SKID works as a design consultancy - concept through documentation. We don't build, we don't procure. We design, thoroughly, and hand you something your contractor can actually work from.

Projects are taken on selectively. If yours sounds like the right fit, tell us about it.
